Shillong Lajong FC have completed the signing of former Churchill Brothers forward Durga Boro. Durga Boro hails from Assam and has played for Oil India before joining the Red Machines.
“We are extremely happy to have Durga Boro join Lajong. Durga is a striker with a lot of potential and we were very interested in signing him back in 2009. However, Durga had already signed for Churchill Brothers, by the time Lajong qualified for the I-League then. We wish him all the best and we hope that he will play an important role for the Club in the remainder of the season.” General Secretary of Lajong, Mr. Larsing M. Sawyan was quoted saying on the new signing.
The twenty seven year old striker expressed his excitement on joining Shillong Lajong,"Being from the North East, I am very excited to be part of Lajong. I look forward to contribute with my efforts in the I-League matches as well as training to help the club become successful."
