Steel company SRMB to co-sponsor Kingfisher East Bengal

Kingfisher East Bengal Club have entered into an agreement with SRMB Srijan Ltd, Kolkata, pursuant to which the latter would be the co-sponsor of the Senior Football Team for a period of four years.

The Steel Company would be sponsoring the back side of the jersey of the Red-and-Golds, who lifted their 35th Calcutta Football League (CFL) title yesterday.

SRMB is an eminent and large steel manufacturing group catering to leading contractors and real estate customers all over the country. The groups’ plants, which are of ISO standards, are located in Durgapur (West Bengal) and Badtumkela (Orissa).

The group’s current ambassador is the legendary cricketer and India’s 1983 World Cup winning skipper Kapil Dev. He has been closely associated with sports and has initiated a number of sporting activities in the state.
