AFC U-16 Qualifiers
Kuwait 2-1 India
Kuwait: Khaled Alenezi – 8th, Salem Albariki –Penalty 44th
India: Krishna Pandit – 64th
Despite playing their heart out the young Indian U-15 team could not recover from the two goal deficit which meant India would not be playing the AFC U-16 Championship final phase. It looked like a home match for team India both on the field with the possession and off the field with the crowd support. The boys went all out in attack but could consider themseves unlucky with the scoreline which on any other day could easily have been a routine victory for Team India. Such was the dominance of the Indian team that almost 70% of the game seemed to have been played on the Kuwait half of the field, but the dominance in possession did not yield fruit as the scoreline remained 2-1 as the final whistle was blown. Tears were coming from the Junior Tigers as their hope of making to the final phase of the championship was shattered but with the performance they gave, the team should be praised.
We at ABCDfootball.com are proud of you boys.
