Tony Fernandes considering Chennai or Kochi as base for new i-League club

English club, Queens Park Rangers(QPR) Owner and Air Asia Director, Tony Fernandes visited Chennai and Kochi, as a part of his plans to open a new team for the i-League from 2014-15 season onwards. Earlier there were reports that the team would be based in Chennai and probably named as "Chennai Rangers" but recent reports suggest that after looking at the facilities of Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kochi, Kerala and also the football crazy fans of the city. The final decision on the base of the club would be decided only after meetings with consultants.
