| East Bengal rope in Abhra Mondal from Pune FC |
Kigfisher East Bengal have captured the signing of Pune FC goalkeeper Abhra Mondal. Having played for the red and golds for most part of his career, Abhra Mondal's return might have few eyebrows raised as East Bengal already have two goalkeepers in the name of the talented youngster Gurpreet Singh Sandhu and Abhijit Mondal who had featured in the starting XI for East Bengal in the latter half of the season after Gurpreet invited trouble for himself with some in-disciplinary actions which ultimately forced, then their coach Trevor James Morgan to opt for experienced Abhijit Mondal despite the former giving some stellar performances.
