ASD Cape Town spotting more Indian Talents

After Brandon its time for Klins Mendes

ASD Cape Town, the home of Indian U19 Midfielder Brandon Fernandes, hopes to soon welcome another potential rising Goan star to its Cape Town residence, in the shape of Klins Mendes.

Klins is one of three Salgaocar FC youth players who has been on trial at ASD since mid-January. He returned to Goa last week to complete his school examinations, however ASD Director Mike Steptoe is hoping the youngster will return to South Africa as soon as possible, after a hugely successful trial that 'delighted' the ASD Management. He said:

"Klins had a fantastic trial at ASD and we have offered him a contract, which is basically a three year scholarship similar to that of Brandon's. Klins has real talent and tremendous potential, and is one of the best young Indian players our Technical Team have ever seen".

Klins was joined on trial by Myron Mendes and Aldrich Coelho. Both players have now joined the ASD Academy and are also impressing. Mike Steptoe commented:

"Myron and Aldrich have settled brilliantly and are doing very well. The performance of all three trialists reaffirms our belief that India has some exceptional, raw talent"
