Team India shifts its base back to Jaypee Greens

The 27-member Senior Indian National squad shifted base to their final leg of the Preparatory Camp for the forthcoming Nehru Cup to Jaypee Greens in Greater Noida on Thursday (August 16, 2012). The squad was earlier based in Bangalore where they have been training for a fortnight under National Coach Wim Koevermans.

The Nehru Cup kicks-off on August 22, 2012. India are slated to play Syria on the Opening Day at 7pm.
“We have had a fruitful training session in Bangalore so far. The boys have been cooperative and have displayed great attitude,” Koevermans was quoted saying to www.the-aiff.com.

“As we shift base to Delhi-NCR, we will be training at the Jaypee Greens in Greater Noida. Hopefully the weather stays good as the last week stays very crucial.”

Torrential rain had forced Koevermans to shift base to KSFA’s artificial turf after training at the Jaypee Greens in early August.
