The heat of the derby is once again up to the maximum as East Bengal becomes ready to host their arch rivals Mohun Bagan in the i-League derby clash on Saturday. It is a very important match in the context of the i-League especially considering the position of the two teams. East Bengal currently lying in 2nd position whereas Mohun Bagan is in 3rd position with 34 and 33 points respectively after playing 18 games each. A win will be a major boost for the team and thus will remain in the title contention whereas a loss will be fatal and will hamper the title hopes as Dempo are already making a giant leap towards the title with 40 points.

A derby is always special one for the fans and for the spectators. We only hope that whatever the result is, the fans take it sportingly and no violent instances occur during or after the match.
