Salgaocar refuse to release Karim

Salgaocar has reportedly rejected AIFF's request for making Karim Bencherifa as the National Team Coach after Mr. Shivanand Salgaocar stated that Karim has two years left in his contract and the club has high hopes on him for doing well in the AFC Cup. He further stated that the club has made him coach with long term plans and releasing him will not do any good to the club.

AIFF will now be facing a new problem for searching an interim coach for International friendlies and upcoming SAFF cup. It is learnt that AIFF will select a permanent coach once they fix the spot for their Technical Director.
