Fed Cup Prelims: Royal Wahingdoh and Southern Samity Register Victories

United Sikkim FC 0-1 Royal Wahingdoh (Mohun Bagan Ground)
Royal Wahingdoh: Karefm Omolaja Nurain(10th)

Royal Wahingdoh came out victorious against a much superior United Sikkim FC by a solitary goal in the Federation Cup Qualifiers played at the Mohun Bagan Ground today. United Sikkim enjoyed most of the possession but failed to capitalize on chances. While Royal scored the first goal in the 10th minute through Karefm Omolaja Nurain. After that it was only USFC's show but despite creating numerous chances the forwards failed to put the ball inside the net. Sushil Kumar Singh and Daniel Bademi were guilty of failing to convert several goal bound opportunities. Renedy Singh who came in the late minutes of Second Half, nearly gave USFC the equalizer on two occasions, but both the time the ball struck the woodwork. Royal has now two victories in two games whereas USFC has only one win from their two.

Southern Samity 2-1 ONGC (Howrah Stadium)
Southern Samity: Jamir Ali Mondal, Edmilson
ONGC: Kenistan

Meanwhile, Southern Samity registered a comfortable 2-1 victory over ONGC with Jamir Ali Mondal and Edmilson being the scorers for Southern and Kenistan being the lone goal scorer.
