United Sikkim win Independence Cup

United Sikkim FC won the Independence Cup Football Tournament after they defeated i-league side Shillong Langsning FC 2-1 in the finals.The match was played at the Paljor Stadium, Gangtok where new artificial turf is already laid.

The tournament featured eight teams United Sikkim FC, Boys Club, Sikkim Police Football Club, Dzongri Club, State Sports Academy, UKFC, Mohan Bagan SAIL Academy and Shillong Langsning FC. United Sikkim FC has decided to gift the prize money of 15,000 to Spastics Society of Sikkim.
