India Barbados Friendly Called off

India Barbados Friendly called off

India's first match of their Caribbean tour against Barbados has been called off due to Armando Colaco's reluctance to play the match. According to few reports Indian team failed to spot anyone to receive them at the Barbados airport. The team members and the coach were frustrated even more when they were made to stay for few hours more before they were provided the visa. There was no one to take the Indian team to their team Hotel and the team officials booked a Hotel on their own.

Later on Organisers came and took the team to their team hotel. A senior member of the local football association also came to apologize to the Indian team. According to The Telegraph (Calcutta), Armando Colaco was not very impressed as he even threatened to fly back to India with his boys.

After mutual understanding of AIFF officials, Armando Colaco and the Barbados Football Association it was decided to call-off the friendly against Barbados.
