East Bengal to Participate in Vietnam and Skip Durand Cup

East Bengal will be giving their squad some international exposure as they gear up for a tour of Vietnam where they are scheduled to play in a International tournament- BTV Cup(Binh Duong Television Cup) where clubs from Brazil also take part. The matches will be played at Go Dau Stadium, home venue of Vietnamese football club Becamex Binh Duong.

The tournaments dates(October 2nd to 15th) will however be clashing with Durand Cup fixtures which means that East Bengal will not be able to participate in the 124th edition of Durand Cup. The club also released a statement saying that they are disappointed on missing out Durand Cup but at the same time International Exposure to its player was important.
