Celebrity Management Group(CMG) are all set to launch North East Football League next year. The League will feature clubs from all 8 States of the North East. According to CMG officials the tournament will start after the PLS(Premier League Soccer). The tournament is being launched as a part of the development of football in North East Region. CMG are the same group, which brought Argentinine Legend Maradona and is now bringing Lionel Messi along with the whole Argentina team to play an exhibition match in Kolkata later in September.
Meanwhile, CMG also announced plans for building its own academy for which they have already signed their development coach.
