Bob Houghton Resigns

Bob Houghton resigns from his post
English Coach Bob Houghton has finally resigned from his position as head Coach of the Indian National Coach of India. Bob had two years left in his contract which was renewed last year by the All India Football Federation(AIFF).

AIFF show caused Houghton for India's performance in the AFC Asia Cup 2011, Qatar and he was also charged for his comments on Indian referee Dinesh Nair in a International Friendly against Yemen in Pune. The resignation meant that AIFF dropped all the charges from Bob Houghton.

Indian Football-The Blog thanks Mr. Bob Douglus Houghton for his good work that changed the look of Indian Football upside down. Under his tenure, Indian Football saw major achievements which includes back to back Nehru Cup triumph in 2007 and 2009, AFC Challenge Cup winners in 2008 edition which meant a berth in the AFC Asia Cup finals 2011 after 26 long years. India saw the inclusion of the AIFF XI(now known as Indian Arrows) which was sketched by Bob Houghton and Colin Toal a few years back. Indian Football fans saw an entire new face under his work period.

We wish Bob a successful coaching career ahead and hope that AIFF appoints the right person for the most important post.
