Chhetri in talks with Racing Santander

Shortly after joining Chirag United after being released by Sporting Kansas City, Sunil Chhetri is now learned to be in talks with Racing Santander’s Indian owner Ahsan Ali Syed. It was Ahsan Ali Syed was the one who praised Chhetri for his performance in the Asia Cup 2011.

Ahsan Ali, who had earlier promised to bring fresh blood to the team will be watching Racing Santander’s league match against Sevilla along with the Indian Striker, from the President’s Box of El Sardinero on Saturday. If the talks are successful then one might well see Chhetri donning the Racing Santander jersey in the next season as Chhetri's contract with Chirag lasts only till this season.
