AIFF announce final squad for Olympic Qualifiers

AIFF has announced the list of 18 players who have made it to the squad to play against Myanmar. The squad shapes up like this:

Goalkeepers: Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Jagroop Singh

Defenders: Abhishek Das, Nirmal Chhetri, Raju Gaekwad (Captain), Mohanraj , Lalrozama Fenai, Deepak Devrani

Midfielders: Lalrindika Ralte, Jewel Raja Sheikh, Shilton D’Silva, Jibon Singh, Ongram Milan Singh, Subodh Kumar

Strikers: Jeje Lalpekhlua, Malswamfela, Manandeep Singh, Jagtar Singh

Robin Left out!!

Surprisingly out of the five players called from several clubs of i-League only Nirmal Chhetri and Mohanraj was selected as a part of the final 18 members. Sabeeth, Arindam Bhattacharya and Robin Singh were the one left out. While Arindam had fitness concern since he was suffering from shoulder injury, Robin's exclusion is still unknown.
