Praful Patel elected as member of AFC Executive Committee

President, All India Football Federation, Mr Praful M Patel has been elected as member of the AFC Executive committee from South central zone in the elections held today in AFC Congress at Doha today.

Mr Patel got 26 votes in his favour .

The sub-continental trio of Ali Azim (Maldives), Praful Patel (India) and Makhdoom Syed Faisal (Pakistan) garnered enough votes to take the three places on the Executive Committee.Azim had 27 votes, Praful Patel 26 and Makhdoom 24. Other candidates were Sardor Rakhmatullaev, of Uzbekistan (22 votes) and Suhrob Qosimov, of Tajikistan (nine votes).

AIFF Executive committee Members ,Football Fraternity and Staff of AIFF have extended their congratulations to Mr Patel on his election as member of AFC Executive committee.
