Mehraj rewarded with Lion 2011 award of Jammu and Kashmir

Mehrajuddin Wadoo was named with Lion 2011 Award from Jammu and Kashmir by the All India Boys Scouts. The midfielder from Jammu and Kashmir was named with the Lion Award because he brought International Prestige to the sports in Jammu and Kashmir. His selection in the AFC Asia Cup 2011 has made the sports popularize among the youths of the Northern Part of the country.

The midfielder who plays for Kolkata giants East Bengal, is also the founder of Football Players Welfare Association of Kashmir(FPWA) which was launched in June 2009, which helps in training the youths of Kashmir Valley and groom their talent as footballers.
