Ex-Ireland International
Joseph Lapira(Forward, 24 Years) who previously played for Norwegian Adeccoligaen side Nybergsund IL-Trysil is on trial with East Bengal. Lapira had previously given trial with Scottish giants Aberdeen and Rangers, but was unable to seal a contract. He was selected by Toronto FC of Major Soccer League(MLS), but he decided against it. In 2008, Lapira signed with Norwegian Adeccoligaen side Nybergsund IL-Trysil. Lapira arrived in Kolkata on Sunday evening and will join the teams practice session on Monday.
Meanwhile, two more players are expected to arrive soon for trials with the Red and Golds. Trevor Morgan will assess all the three players and decide the best one needed but he wont be able to sign them before January transfer window reopens.
