Bob wants replacements



Bob Houghton has reportedly asked AIFF to send replacements for injured players Anthony Pereira and Arindam Bhattacharya. Young Midfielder/Striker Joquim Abhranches (Dempo) and East Bengal Goalkeeper Sandeep Nandy are the players shortlisted by Bob to join the squad for the upcoming Asia Cup.

I think Bob should encourage more of his players to play in the lower division leagues of Europe which will help them cope up with the pace of the game in Europe and will also expose the world to Indian footballers and vice versa

Yup, nice idea but which club would be interested to sign a player from that country whose ranking is near the 150's and which is humiliated by opponents whose ranking are near 100. We do have talented youngsters like Avyay Gujral but 1 out of a billion is not an achievement, is It??

Lower Div. English leagues are OK, but not too lower as we saw Sheffield FC getting knocked out by East Bengal and Lajong. May be Swedish clubs or Belgium clubs are a good choice.
