Beto hands over resignation to Dempo

Dempo's ever so reliable Brazilian playmaker Beto has reportedly handed over his resignation to the club officials. He skipped training sessions for quite a while now and currently is waiting for release from his club. Dempo who had earlier won the Super Cup few weeks back after defeating the more fancied East Bengal team would be under lot of trouble if Beto is allowed to leave. It is a well knowned fact that Beto has played an anchor's role in Dempo's success over the last few years.

Beto said that he had met Dempo Chairman Shirnivashan Dempo few weeks earlier but nohing could be cemented. But now he will again meet the Dempo Chairman to sort out the matter. Beto says that his interest in playing for his club has vanished and that's why he wants to quit. According to him, there is no point in playing if one cant give his 100% for his club. However, Dempo coach Armando Colaco critisized Beto of unsporting behavior for his(Beto's) desire to leave the club at this crucial juncture.
