Vietnam U23 3-1 India U23 Match Report

Both team started well but it was India who grabbed the lead in the 9th minute where striker Balwant Singh trapped a long ball and scored. After then the match was very evenly contested until the first half which ended 1-1 after Vietnam scored the equalizer.

The match conditions degraded largely due to heavy rain. It was Vietnam who dominated from the early minutes of the second half as Indian colts were denied any possession. Vietnam played nicely with sme short passes and making some quick moves which frustated the Indian midfield. Vietnam grabbed the lead when one of their striker did a brilliant move to evade his marker and got a lot of space to place the ball camly into the net with a cool finish. Vietnam finished the demolishon with a long ranger which was mainly due to the golie Gurpreet Singh Sandhu who failed to react to the pile driver from the Vietnam player.
