Thailand started the game in a brisk pace and controlling the game with all the possession in the first half hour of the game. They missed few chances early on. Indian team came alive in the dying stages of the first half when Sunil Chhetri missed a golden chance.
Both the coaches opted not to make any changes in the line-ups for the second half. India looked more comfortable in the second half. But with more of long ball tactics nothing concrete was happening. Both Rafi and Chhetri were not been feeded properly. Thailand were looking more likely to break the deadlock. And they did so when their striker Chikamdee finished a good attacking move. The scoreline remained the same until the Final whistle was blown.
